Belated Friday five (hundred twenty five thousand, six hundred minutes).

Thursday marked my one-year anniversary in the fine town of Portland. Job aside, I couldn't be happier with my decision. Five favorite Portlandish things from the last year include:

• discovering the wonder that is the Columbia River Gorge
  
• Musicfest Northwest (13 bands + 9 venues + 4 days = AWESOME)
  
• remembering that there is a season called "fall"
  
• snowpocalypse '08
• the Wednesday farmer's market at SW Park blocks (which started back up this week, woohoo!)
